SUPERB - SUSUR LEE

We went out to dindin a few nights ago, actually a company dinner. Lee Restaurant was the place of choice and GUYS and DOLS you have to go there, if only to try these 2 dishes...

1) Caramelized black cod with Cantonese preserves
2) Duck confit with oven-dried pineapple, spiced nuts and goat cheese

It is a mouthgazm and although a little pricy, save up and go there for a special dinner...

Here is a picture of the restaurant and one of the waitresses

LEE (603 King West, at Portland, 416-504-7867) Complete meals for $65 per person, including all taxes, tip and a glass of wine. Average tapas plate is around $12. Open Monday to Saturday for lunch noon to 2:30 pm and for dinner 6 to 10:30 pm. Closed Sunday. Licensed. Access: two steps at door, washrooms on same floor.

Susur Lee may even come to visit you at your table...

Safe Cooking

Growing up, I would bring peanut butter and jam sandwiches to grade 1 and on... I could eat eggs, shellfish, the crap off the floor or my own boogers if I felt like it... but it seems to me that kids are somehow being born with all kinds of allergies these days. I remember rarely hearing about a peanut allergy, and I understand that these are all deadly allergies. No fun to have it... But now apparently 1 IN 10 KIDS is born with a peanut allergy... CrAzY...

So My nephew is one of these kids, peanut, eggs, shellfish (maybe) and what a good kid he is, so wonderful and it sadens me that he cant eat some of my favorite foods... like peanut butter and jam and chips (maybe stuffed with a kolbasa) on egg bread... I understand that to some, that combination in itself is unsafe. but I LIKE IT. SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOoooooooooooooooooooooo

That leads me to the safe cooking portion of this blog.

I am going to make sure that my nephew gets to have a treat like no other. I am building the coolest, candiest gingerbread house EVER. I will post pictures of this one online after... I will attempt a log cabin style house...

I have all of these safe recipes and can post them if you would like.

commenting and trackback have been added to this blog.

Wonderful World of the BLOG

This morning I have been surfing your blogs, Connie, Clara, Jamie and I have yet to visit ELO and the little vixen MaRiA. On to better things. I noticed that one of my childhood tv friends passed away. The French Bum guy who ate lots of popcorn and tried his best to teach us all through theatre like entertainment. I also got a chance to revisit what a good time we had on Friday night with yall... Thanks to you all for that.

I have to admit, I understand the whole blog technology thing, but I really wanted to change my blog outfit and put on something a little more playful, so I added a new template. It erased all my old addons... bummer and I dont seem to have the trackback anymore... anyone know how to get that back?

Connie, I love that thing you wrote about... and this is what I have done to the tool... I have made it my own personal dirty name maker...

Well I hope you are all as entertained as I was to read through your blogs today and will see you all online.

A better idea

From now on, I have a fresh new template.

I am going to write about what I want.

Hibernation

Hi all,

I have to admit, I have been a little out of touch with this blog for a while and have decided that from now on, I am going to write out all of my fishing adventures. Be it ice fishing or Fly Fishing or the normal kind that I want to teach my nephew.

I am back and remembered how to log on again hehe.

Keep in tune for my next message, and I will keep posting useful resources on the navigation for your fishing trips to Ontario.
